We Want Our Oath Back!

 

Gökbörü Ocakları Education and Culture Association Headquarters issued a statement regarding the abolition of Our Oath, which was taught in primary schools. The following statements were included in the statement;

It should not be forgotten that the abolition of the Student Oath is one of the mistakes made in the so-called "solution and peace process" to please some divisive circles. Turkey's oldest non-governmental organizations such as "concessions" s will soothe separatist terrorists, said on the contrary insisted that even less; We made the necessary warnings in time.

The main problem for most is the emphasis on "Turkishness" in the text. In addition, the hatred felt by some circles for Atatürk should also be mentioned.

The existence of the Turkish nation and the survival of the Turkish state is only possible with an understanding of education and politics that are compatible with the requirements of the age, based on knowledge and wisdom, but never neglect the heart and emotion. So, symbols such as "Our Oath", "National Anthem", "Flag" feed national feelings and national consciousness. That is why we are reading the "Oath" or "The National Anthem" by some public opinion, but their interpretation that does not work is extremely erroneous.

There are those who still cannot or do not want to understand that Turks are not an ethnic group, but a great nation that has been molded in history. To give students national awareness and self-confidence

 

The practice of student oath in education and training has nothing to do with racism or fascism. Turkish name of our nation, of our country name is Turkey.

We expect the Ministry of National Education to have the Pupil's Oath read again in schools regardless of the appeal process.

 

You cannot erase the love of Homeland, Nation and Flag from the heart of this nation. If you are afraid to say, it would be useful to remind you.
